Sampled at a wine tasting with friends in October 2009. Dark purple,
thick color, enough to stain your teeth purple! Aromas of a dank cave
(perhaps starting to turn), dark plum fruit and
earthy. Very smooth on
the palate, complex tastes of chocolate, plums,
meat, and cave as it
warmed up. Real long finish. Totally different
wine experience for me.
To relate it to something, this was like a peaty
scotch of wines.
Decadent, a real slow sipper. Awesome.

Excellent wine and the best value anywhere!

This wine normally sells for twice this price, as evidence just look at any of your local wine shops. Great reviews from both Robert Parker (93) and Wine Spectator (93). This wine will last a long time in cellars, the structure is perfect. The 2006 vintage is sold out at the winery and the pricing will not last as the 2007 vintage will be at least $10 more per bottle.
