Wine Advocate 95 points, Steve Tanzer (IWC) 95 points. Echezeaux has a beautiful, vivid red colour,
and elegant aromas
reminiscent of cocoa and exotic wood such as cedar.
On the palate, the tannins
are dense but refined. They leave a soft
impression, similar to velvet. An old Burgundy saying,
"this wine has
save (sap)", would be a very apt description here. The long, persistent
aftertaste
recalls the dark chocolate flavour.
